LFX-BCL™ Coolant & Lubricant Filter Bags

FiltraCore Asia’s LFX-BCL™ coolant filter bags are engineered for high-capacity particulate removal in CNC machining, grinding, and metalworking coolant systems, where consistent fluid cleanliness is critical to machine performance and tool life. Manufactured using depth-loading polypropylene or polyester felt, including optional multilayer polypropylene (MLPP) constructions, these filter bags effectively capture metal fines, abrasive debris, sludge, degraded coolant residues, and suspended solids, supporting stable coolant clarity and system operation.

Designed for use with water-based, synthetic, semi-synthetic, and straight-oil coolants, LFX-BCL™ filter bags promote cleaner fluid circulation, reduced pump and spindle wear, extended cutting-tool life, and lower maintenance-related downtime. Secure sealing is ensured through a fully moulded polypropylene collar, providing reliable, leak-free installation and consistent filtration performance in demanding industrial environments.

Technical Specifications
  • Material: Polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PE) needle-punched felt for depth filtration; optional multilayer polypropylene (MLPP) construction incorporating a graded pre-filter layer, oil-affinity microfibre layer for tramp-oil load reduction, and spunbond cover for media stability. Nylon monofilament mesh (NMO) available for coarse particle capture and reusable straining applications.
  • Micron Ratings: 1–200 µm standard; extended micron ranges available on request depending on media construction.
  • Media weight (felt): Typically 350–500 gsm for single-layer felt constructions; 600–900 gsm for multilayer (MLPP) depth-loading designs
  • Operating Temperature Limits: Polypropylene felt: up to 90 °C continuous, Polyester felt: up to 135 °C continuous and Nylon monofilament mesh (NMO): up to 120 °C continuous
(Short-term excursions subject to coolant chemistry, pressure, and mechanical support.)
  • pH Range: Polypropylene media: pH 1–14 (non-oxidising environments). Polyester media: pH 3–11
  • Recommended Flow Rates: Size #1: approximately 10–20 m³/h. Size #2: approximately 20–40 m³/h
(Based on clean water at 20 °C, viscosity ≈ 1 mPa·s, new filter bag; actual performance dependent on fluid viscosity, contamination load, and system design.)
Applications
  • Grinding & honing operations — removal of metallic fines and abrasive debris from coolants to prevent wheel loading, reduce tool wear, and maintain surface finish quality
  • Machining centres & cutting-fluid loops — maintaining coolant cleanliness in CNC machining systems to extend tool life, reduce surface defects, and stabilise machining performance
  • EDM (electrical discharge machining) fluids — capture of fine particulate contaminants to support stable dielectric fluid performance and consistent spark energy
  • Rolling & forming mills — filtration of rolling oils and forming lubricants to control particulate contamination and maintain uniform product surface finish
  • Hydraulic & lubricant reservoirs (side-stream filtration) — reduction of wear particles and varnish precursors to support hydraulic component reliability and extended fluid service life
  • General industrial coolant systems — coolant and lubricant filtration across automotive, aerospace, and precision component manufacturing environments
