FiltraCore Asia’s LFX-CPLEAT-PES™ Series represents a complete platform of hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane pleated cartridges engineered for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, high purity and industrial liquid filtration applications. Designed around highly asymmetric PES membrane technology, the series delivers high flow rates, low differential pressure, reliable microbial and particulate reduction, rapid wettability and low extractables across a wide range of process conditions.
All LFX-CPLEAT-PES™ cartridges are constructed using hydrophilic PES membrane with polypropylene upstream and downstream support layers, polypropylene core, cage and end caps, assembled using thermal bonded, adhesive free fabrication to ensure structural integrity, consistent retention and minimal extractables. Each variant is designed to address specific process requirements including sterile filtration, bioburden reduction, high flow utility filtration, electronics grade processes and large diameter housing applications.

LFX-CPLEAT-PES-ST™ – Sterile-Grade PES Membrane Cartridges
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-ST™ is designed for critical pharmaceutical, biotechnology and sterile liquid processing applications requiring validated microbial retention and consistent filtration performance. The highly asymmetric hydrophilic PES membrane enables efficient removal of microorganisms and fine particulates while maintaining high flow rates and low differential pressure.
The membrane structure supports rapid wettability, repeatable integrity testing and compatibility with steam in place and autoclave sterilisation processes. This makes the cartridge suitable for filtration of biological fluids, buffers, injectables, fermentation broths and other sterile process streams.
For 0.22 µm grade membranes, bacterial retention is validated using Brevundimonas diminuta (ATCC 19146) at 10⁷ CFU per cm². All cartridges are individually integrity tested, serial number traceable and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management systems in controlled production environments.
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-ST™ is engineered for use as a drop in replacement platform for hydrophilic PES membrane cartridges, with compatibility against leading products such as Pall Supor®, Sartorius Sartopore® 2 / Sartopore® Evo, Parker PROPOR® PES and 3M LifeASSURE™ PDA/BNA, subject to dimensional, micron rating, end connection and application validation.
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-FB™ – Food & Beverage PES Membrane Cartridges
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-FB™ is engineered for food and beverage filtration processes requiring reliable particulate reduction and controlled bioburden management. The hydrophilic PES membrane provides high flow rates, low pressure drop and stable retention performance for beverages, bottled water, syrups and process liquids.
The asymmetric membrane structure supports rapid wetting and low protein adsorption, ensuring consistent filtration behaviour in clarification and polishing stages. Where applicable, 0.22 µm membranes can be validated for microbial retention using Brevundimonas diminuta (ATCC 19146).
All cartridges are individually integrity tested, serial number traceable and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certified systems.
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-FB™ is engineered as a drop in replacement platform for hydrophilic PES membrane cartridges used in beverage applications, with compatibility against leading products such as Parker BEVPOR®, Parker PROPOR® PES, Sartorius Sartopore® PES and Pall Supor®, subject to dimensional, micron rating, end connection and process validation requirements.
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-UF™ – Utility-Grade PES Membrane Cartridges
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-UF™ is designed for industrial, high purity and utility water filtration applications where high flow performance and consistent particulate control are required without sterile grade certification. The hydrophilic PES membrane provides reliable filtration for ultrapure water systems, DI water, electronics processes, chemical processing and general industrial liquid filtration.
The cartridge offers low differential pressure, stable retention characteristics and good chemical compatibility, making it suitable for continuous operation in high throughput environments.
Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certified systems, the cartridges are integrity testable where required and designed for consistent performance in non sterile applications.
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-BB™ – Big Blue PES Membrane Cartridges (4.5″ Diameter)
LFX-CPLEAT-PES-HP™ is a large diameter high flow PES membrane cartridge designed for applications requiring elevated flow rates and large filtration area, particularly in electronics manufacturing processes such as LCD and flat panel production.
With an outer diameter of approximately 131 mm and high surface area construction, this variant supports high throughput operation while maintaining stable filtration performance. The cartridge is available with multiple membrane options including PES, polypropylene and PTFE configurations, providing flexibility across different process requirements.
The thermally bonded construction eliminates the need for adhesives, reducing the risk of extractables and ensuring filtration stability in high purity environments.
Manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified system and non-fibre releasing, the cartridges are non-sterile with no USP or endotoxin claims. LFX-CPLEAT-PES-BB™ is designed for drop-in compatibility with Pentair / Pentek® Big Blue™ PES, Hydronix® BB PES and Culligan® HD-format compatible PES, subject to dimensional and application verification.
