LFX-CCL™ Melt-Blown Polypropylene Coolant & Lubricant Filter Cartridges

FiltraCore Asia’s LFX-CCL™ melt-blown polypropylene depth filter cartridges are engineered for reliable particulate reduction in coolant, lubricant, and low-viscosity industrial liquids, where consistent fluid cleanliness and predictable cartridge life are critical. Designed for stable operation in CNC machining, metalworking, parts washing, and general industrial fluid systems, these cartridges utilise graded-density melt-blown polypropylene media to deliver effective depth filtration with controlled pressure drop.

Manufactured with thermally bonded, all-polypropylene construction, LFX-CCL™ cartridges provide high dirt-holding capacity, broad chemical compatibility, and low extractables, supporting extended service intervals and reduced maintenance frequency. By maintaining fluid clarity and minimising particulate-related wear, LFX-CCL™ depth filter cartridges help protect downstream equipment and support consistent process performance across a wide range of operating conditions.

Technical Specifications
  • Media: Graded-density melt-blown polypropylene (PP) depth media (standard). Multilayer depth and higher-efficiency variants available to support extended service life and fine polishing duties
  • Micron Ratings: 1 µm to 100 µm, nominal particulate retention. Tighter distribution grades available for polishing applications requiring improved clarity and consistency
  • Construction: All-polypropylene construction with thermally bonded fibres, eliminating adhesives or binders to minimise fibre migration and ensure chemical compatibility with aqueous coolants, lubricants, and process fluids
  • Surface Finish Options: Coarse surface — enhanced mechanical strength for high solids loading
    Smooth surface — reduced fibre shedding for fine polishing
    Deep-groove profile — increased surface area for higher flow rates and extended dirt-holding capacity
    Mini-groove profile — increased effective filtration area for higher efficiency in critical polishing applications
  • Elastomers / gaskets: EPDM (standard); Silicone; NBR (Buna-N); FKM (Viton®)
  • Length Options: Industry-standard 10″, 20″, 30″, and 40″ cartridge lengths. Legacy lengths 4-7/8″, 9.75″, 19.5″, and 29.25″ available for retrofit applications
  • End-cap and sealing options: Double Open End (DOE); 222 flat, 222 fin, 226 flat, 226 fin configurations. Custom end-cap designs available on request to suit specific housing requirements
  • Outer Diameter: 63 mm (2.5″) standard format; 114 mm (4.5″ Big Blue) format available for higher flow and longer service life
  • Operating Temperature: Continuous service up to 80 °C in aqueous coolants, lubricants, and compatible process fluids.

Applications
  • CNC Machining – filtration of coolant loops and tool chambers to protect cutting tools, stabilise coolant cleanliness, and maintain surface finish quality
  • Grinding Operations – removal of fine particulates and swarf from grinding fluids to prevent wheel loading, extend dressing intervals, and improve process consistency
  • Metal Cutting – in-line clarification of cutting fluids to reduce tool fouling, support heat dissipation, and maintain stable machining performance
  • Parts Washing – protection of wash systems, pumps, and spray nozzles from particulate debris and residue build-up
  • Hydraulic systems (side-stream) — polishing of lubricants and hydraulic reservoirs to reduce particulate contamination and support fluid cleanliness and component life
  • Industrial Lubrication – filtration of gear oils and machine lubricants in heavy-duty plant operations and other demanding industrial environments
