HFX-PL-GFPP™ Glass-Filled Polypropylene GFPP Bag Filter Housings

FiltraCore Asia’s HFX-PL-GFPP™ Glass-Filled Polypropylene GFPP Bag Filter Housings deliver robust chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and easy handling in a cost-efficient, corrosion-proof design. Manufactured from reinforced GFPP, these filter housings provide stable, reliable performance across a wide range of aqueous acids, alkalis, solvents, and saline solutions, even when operated at their rated pressure, temperature, and concentration limits.

Engineered for light-to-moderate industrial duty, the housings offer low weight, excellent impact resistance, and zero-corrosion operation, making them a highly practical alternative to stainless steel in low-pressure, moderate-temperature applications. Their durability and resistance to chemical attack make them suitable for diverse installations including water treatment systems, chemical dosing skids, laboratory processes, plating lines, and general industrial liquid handling.

Technical Specifications

  • Housing material: Glass-filled polypropylene (GFPP), industrial-grade thermoplastic for strength and chemical resistance
  • Basket material: Polypropylene perforated support basket, fully non-metallic and corrosion-resistant
  • Seal options: EPDM, Buna-N, Viton®; PTFE-encapsulated elastomers available on request (pressure/temperature limits depend on gasket selection)
  • Closure options: Tool-free hand-nut standard; clamp-ring available on request
  • Inlet/Outlet connections: BSPT or NPT threaded (typical 1–2 in); ANSI/DIN flanged variants available for specified models
  • Vent & drain ports: Optional vent (top) and drain (bottom) for safe depressurisation, sampling and cleaning
  • Pressure rating: 6 bar at 20 °C maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP); pressure de-rates with temperature
  • Temperature range: 0 °C to 80 °C continuous duty, subject to pressure derating and gasket selection
Applications
  • Chemical processing: filtration of corrosive acids, bases, and saline streams in low-pressure, moderate-temperature service
  • Water treatment & desalination: brackish water intake, RO prefiltration, and post-treatment polishing
  • Food & beverage production: non-metallic housing option where food-contact compliant variants are available (FDA 21 CFR; EU 1935/2004 & 10/2011)
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing: buffer, cleaning, and non-sterile liquid processes requiring corrosion-resistant equipment
  • Marine & offshore: seawater or brine filtration in compact skid packages
  • General industrial liquids: mobile or fixed installations where lightweight portability and quick change-outs reduce downtime
