AFX-PNL™ Panel Filters

FiltraCore Asia’s AFX-PNL™ Panel Filters deliver low-resistance panel filter prefiltration for commercial HVAC and general ventilation systems, supporting stable airflow and predictable performance across diverse building environments.

Built to fit standard 25 mm and 50 mm frames, AFX-PNL™ panel air filter modules integrate into side-access or front-load housings with no retrofit, enabling fast change-outs and maintenance-friendly operation. Their lightweight construction supports high dust-holding capacity, reduced operating cost, and extended service cycles for dependable HVAC prefiltration.

Technical Specifications
  • Media & construction: Synthetic nonwoven (mechanical), fibreglass mat, or carbon-loaded nonwoven for comfort odour/VOC mitigation. Frames in high wet-strength beverage board, galvanised-steel U-channel, or ABS; expanded-metal/wire backing where specified for rigidity
  • Depths & geometry: Standard depths 25 mm and 50 mm (other depths on request). Flat panel format for drop-in use in common holding frames and side-access housings
  • Efficiency classes (particulate): MERV 4–9 (ASHRAE 52.2) with corresponding ISO 16890 classes (ISO Coarse / ePM10, model-dependent). For higher particulate efficiencies (ePM2.5/ePM1; MERV 11–13), select AFX-PLT™ Pleated Panel Filters
  • Initial differential pressure (clean; representative): 25 mm panels at ≈1.5–2.0 m/s: synthetic/fibreglass typically ~30–65 Pa (grade-dependent). 50 mm panels at ≈2.0 m/s: synthetic/fibreglass typically ~60–85 Pa (internally-supported formats near the upper end). Carbon-loaded panels (50 mm at ≈2.0 m/s): typically ~70–110 Pa, increasing with carbon mass per area
  • Final resistance (Δp): Reference 200–250 Pa, subject to rack policy and downstream protection strategy

  • Healthcare & laboratories (non-critical): offices, waiting areas, plant rooms—used as a prefilter upstream of higher-efficiency stages
  • Education & public buildings: classrooms, campuses, libraries, arenas, and civic facilities with high occupant turnover
  • Data centres & telecom: intake/return prefiltration to stabilise Δp across fine stages and support uptime
  • Food & beverage HVAC (dry, non-product-contact zones):
    packaging halls and utilities; variant-level documentation available on request
  • Light industrial & warehousing: general ventilation prefiltration; match grade to dust profile and change-out policy
  • Museums & archives: particulate prefilter for IAQ-sensitive spaces; for odours/VOCs specify AFX-PNL-AC™
  • Transport hubs: airports, stations, bus interchanges—high-duty AHUs needing low resistance and rapid change-outs
  • Paint facilities (make-up air): intake prefiltration only; not for overspray arrest (use dedicated arrestor media)
