WTX-PW-RO2™ – Double-Pass RO Purified Water System (USP-Equivalent High-Purity Water)

FiltraCore Asia’s WTX-PW™ Series is an engineered range of pure-water and hygienic water-treatment systems developed for applications requiring sanitary design, stable water quality, and long-term operational reliability. Designed for Cosmetic GMP, medical aesthetics, healthcare and skincare production, laboratories, and clean-process environments, the WTX™ range delivers purified water engineered to meet USP-equivalent quality standards with stable conductivity and microbiological performance at the skid outlet. The WTX-PW™ Series is engineered in accordance with hygienic design principles referenced in Cosmetic GMP (ISO 22716), ISPE Baseline water-system guidance, EHEDG hygienic standards, ASME BPE recommendations, and FDA food-contact material requirements. While not pharmaceutical-certified equipment, the system is built using the same critical hygienic principles — 316L wetted parts, orbital welding, <0.6 µm Ra finishing, full drainability, and sanitary valve orientation — enabling it to consistently achieve USP-equivalent purified-water quality at the skid outlet.

WTX-PW-RO2™ is the flagship model within the WTX-PW™ (Pure Water) family, built for clients requiring hygienic, consistently controlled, and compliance-aligned purified water systems. It is a hygienic double-pass RO system constructed with 100% SS316L wetted components, orbital-welded sanitary piping, and DuPont FilmTec™ membranes. The system is designed to consistently achieve conductivity below 5.0 µS/cm at 25°C and microbial counts below 100 CFU/mL. These specifications are guaranteed at the skid outlet only; downstream purity depends on the hygiene and geometry of external piping installed by the client.

The hygienic system architecture begins with a multi-stage SS316L pre-treatment train combining particulate reduction and activated-carbon filtration. These steps remove suspended solids, reduce organic load, eliminate chlorine, and protect downstream RO membranes and instrumentation. The double-pass RO configuration then operates sequentially to maximise salt rejection and stability, with automated reject diversion ensuring only qualified permeate enters the storage tank. Purified water is maintained in a 316L conical-bottom sanitary tank equipped with 360° internal spray coverage, sterile venting, and full drainability, while the distribution network uses orbital-welded 316L piping configured as a continuous cold-loop designed to suppress microbial growth. Microbial control is further supported by a continuous 254 nm inline UVC sterilisation module installed on the return loop to maintain loop hygiene during recirculation.

In terms of component integrity, WTX-PW™ systems employ high-end global brands to guarantee hygiene and operational reliability. These include 316L stainless-steel pumps from Grundfos® and Alfa Laval®, Danfoss® instrumentation, Schneider Electric® VFD and electrical components, Siemens® PLC automation, DuPont FilmTec™ membranes, and 316L sanitary pneumatic diaphragm valves across all permeate, reject, and circulation pathways. These components are selected to ensure long-term durability, purity, and stable system integrity.

Automation and control are managed by a Siemens PLC platform that provides intelligent pump sequencing, safety interlocks, real-time pressure/flow/temperature/conductivity monitoring, automated reject logic, and full event and alarm logging. In addition, WTX-PW-RO2™ supports secure cloud-based remote monitoring, remote debugging, and remote diagnostics, enabling off-site troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and parameter review without requiring unnecessary on-site attendance. This architecture improves uptime, reduces intervention cost, and enhances system visibility for operators.

WTX-PW™ systems are built with strict hygienic-engineering workmanship, including 100% SS316L wetted surfaces, <0.6 µm Ra internal polishing, orbital-welded process piping, borescope-verified weld integrity, full drainability, hygienic valve orientation, and CIP-ready sanitary tank construction. Driven by FiltraCore Asia’s Kodawari spirit, every WTX-PW system is built with uncompromising precision, hygiene, and engineering discipline, where compliance and sanitary integrity are non-negotiable and no shortcuts are tolerated at any stage of fabrication.

The WTX-PW-RO2™ platform also supports a comprehensive set of future-proof upgrade pathways, including thermal sanitisation, softening modules for variable-feed hardness, a pH-conditioning module to reduce CaCO₃ precipitation, UF integration for elevated purity requirements, and advanced polishing steps such as EDI, UV TOC, and sub-micron filtration. All upgrades can be implemented without modifying the primary sanitary geometry or compromising pipework integrity.
