HFX-PL-PVDF™ Polyvinylidene Fluoride PVDF Bag Filter Housings

FiltraCore Asia’s HFX-PL-PVDF™ Polyvinylidene Fluoride PVDF Bag Filter Housings deliver high-purity liquid filtration for applications requiring extreme chemical resistance, thermal stability, and low extractables. Manufactured from virgin PVDF, the filter housings offer excellent resistance to strong acids, chlorinated solvents, and high-temperature process streams, supporting reliable operation in aggressive filtration environments.

Designed for critical chemical processing, electronics-grade fluids, fine-chemical production, and ultra-clean manufacturing, PVDF housings maintain structural integrity under thermal cycling and exhibit minimal material degradation over extended service life. Their smooth internal surfaces help reduce particle adhesion, support predictable filtrate quality, and improve overall system hygiene.

HFX-PL-PVDF™ filter housings are suitable for high-purity chemical blending, etching and cleaning solutions, photoresist developers, battery-grade electrolyte manufacturing, and other processes where material compatibility, purity, and stability are essential for consistent production performance.

Technical Specifications
  • Model: HFX-PL-PVDF™ – Polyvinylidene Fluoride Single-Bag Housing
  • Filter compatibility: Standard #02 filter bags in felt, mesh or pleated types across a wide micron range; #01 available on request
  • Housing material: High-purity PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) providing exceptional chemical and thermal resistance; purity grade per certified resin
  • Basket material: PVDF (recommended) or polypropylene perforated support basket; note that polypropylene baskets have lower chemical/temperature limits
  • Seal options: EPDM, FKM (Viton®), PTFE, or PTFE-encapsulated elastomers; select low-extractables gaskets for high-purity service
  • Closure options: Hand-nut closure (standard) for tool-free servicing; clamp-ring available on request
  • Inlet/Outlet connections: BSPT or NPT threaded, typically 1–2 in; ANSI/DIN flanged nozzles available; side-entry standard, other orientations on request
  • Vent & drain ports: Optional top vent and bottom drain for safe depressurisation, sampling and fluid removal
  • Pressure rating: Up to 6 bar at 20 °C (model-dependent); pressure de-rates to ~3–4 bar by 90–110 °C—refer to FiltraCore pressure/temperature derating chart
  • Temperature range: –20 °C to 110 °C continuous duty, up to ~120 °C at reduced pressure, subject to gasket selection and pressure derating
Applications
  • Chemical processing: filtration of strong acids, halogenated compounds, and aggressive solvents where stainless steel may corrode or leach
  • Semiconductor & electronics-grade ultrapure water (UPW): wet benches, chemical delivery loops, and high-purity rinse systems requiring particle control and zero metal contamination
  • Pharmaceutical & biotechnology: sterile or high-purity liquid handling where PVDF’s low extractables safeguard process integrity
  • Chlorinated water & oxidising agents: municipal water treatment, bleaching operations, and other services with high free chlorine or oxidiser content
  • High-purity food & beverage & speciality chemicals: processes demanding food-contact compliant materials (FDA 21 CFR; EU 1935/2004 & 10/2011) and resistance to CIP/SIP chemicals
  • Marine, offshore & harsh environments: saltwater and brine filtration where long-term corrosion resistance and lightweight handling are critical
